Cows

Cows are, by far, some of the oddest creatures.

They seem so normal and we don’t think much of them, but if you think about it, they are the most used animal when it comes to our food. We get steaks from them, burgers. We get prime rib, milk and cheese. We also get cream, like whipped cream and heavy whipping cream, cream cheese. They are a walking restaurant. Beef is just so good, too.

Off topic random thought. Why is a hamburger called a “ham”-burger, when ham comes from a pig? I am aware it is beef, as my dad made fun of me for even thinking of this question, but I just think that is peculiar to call it “ham”-burger when it is beef.

I have always had the question of who the first person was to try milk. Who was it that thought, “hey, those things under that animal, what would happen if I was to stroke them?” Once milk came out, why would their reaction be to drink it? I just feel like that is a little bit weird. Do not even get me started on the first guy to try and egg!

Cows are just funny. The sounds they make, their odor and the rest of their characteristics. No matter much I think they are silly, they are the source of my favorite foods and beverages. They can continue to stink up the country side, because they are the source of my food happiness.
