I also believe that you are, in your honest thoughts,
where I was a decade ago, when I believed in just the
one undressed emperor, to be justly condemned.

Since then, the darkness has closed in behind me,
as I watch the shades and shadows coalesce into the
form of other disrobed imperators who play with each
other their cruel games of power at the bonfire of burning people.

Each of us in the world stands at a slightly different spot around the ring of inferno and fetidness and needs time and tragedy to accustom one’s vision.

But in the end, we see them all,
the cluster of despicable deshabilles,
dancing in ecstasy with Death,
screaming at us to kill the others.
