LOCALIZATION INCREASES USER GROWTH

In a context of increased Dare App usage we’re getting ready for some severe UX simplifications that are assumed to positively impact onboarding, retention and ROI. See a sneak peak on the screenshot of our brand new #weeklyupdate

We have finalized the concept — we have defined the important steps which users must go through to better understand the capabilities of the application during the very first session. We have prepared the first version of the design, ran it with a few users, then we plan to finalize the details and transfer this task to development.

Due to the fact that the audience in Russia has reached a significant percentage of the total, we have translated the application UI into Russian — this is an important point for users, as it is difficult for them to navigate in English. We also noticed that this audience is willing to get involved in content creation, so it will help us to retain and develop it. We are still thinking about a proper solution to translate the UGC though.

We continue to test how the new audience reacts to the welcome game coins. We made the welcome coins available only on Android, and removed it on iOS. We need to test the hypothesis that this will encourage users to do more Challenges, and also check what happens to the Gold Challenges on iOS — users of this platform are more interested in Gold than on Android 🤷‍♂️

We are in negotiations with TikTok about placing official advertising of the Dare App. This is a very special step because the TikTok ad network is super hard to get in to. Our goal is to attract an audience of TikTok and see how it will react to the mechanics of Dare App. Hopefully they will love it.

We have completed the content separation between eristica.com and dareapp.org and soon this task will be transferred to the layout, development and subsequent publication of content related to Dare App on this separate website.

We started working on the concept of new color solutions in the application. Our task is to find out, through experimentation, which colours are the most trustworthy and involve users the best. We will start by tweaking it on the main screens.
